Hey there!
If you're using Stamina to boost your agency's email outreach, it's super important to make sure your emails land in your clients' inboxes, not their spam folders.
To do this, you'll need to set up a few things called SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Don't worry—they might sound tricky, but I'll walk you through them step by step.
Why These Settings Matter
Think of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC as your email's security badges. They help prove to email providers that your messages are legit and not from spammers. Setting them up means your emails are more likely to be seen and trusted.
Getting Started
Before we dive in, make sure you have:
Access to Your Domain Provider: This is where you bought your website's name (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
Stamina Account: Ensure you're logged into your Stamina platform.
1. Setting Up SPF (Sender Policy Framework)
SPF tells email servers which places are allowed to send emails on your behalf.
Log into Your Domain Provider: Go to the website where you purchased your domain and sign in.
Find DNS Settings: Look for something like "DNS Management" or "Domain Settings."
Add a New Record:
Type: TXT
Name: @
Value:
v=spf1 include:stamina.io ~all
Save: Make sure to save your new settings.
2. Setting Up DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)
DKIM adds a unique signature to your emails, proving they come from you.
Log into Stamina: Access your Stamina dashboard.
Navigate to Email Settings: Look for options related to email authentication.
Generate DKIM Record: Stamina will provide a DKIM key for you.
Go Back to Your Domain Provider:
Add a New TXT Record:
Name: The selector provided by Stamina (e.g.,
default._domainkey
)Value: The DKIM key you got from Stamina
Save: Confirm and save the new record.
3. Setting Up DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance)
DMARC tells email servers what to do if something looks fishy with your emails.
In Your Domain Provider's DNS Settings:
Add a New TXT Record:
Name:
_dmarc
Value:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:your[email protected];
Save: Don't forget to save this record.
Note: Replace [email protected]
with your actual email address. This is where reports about your email's performance will be sent.
Wrapping Up
After setting these up, it might take a little while (sometimes up to 48 hours) for everything to kick in. Once they're active, your emails sent through Stamina should have a better chance of landing right where you want them—in your clients' inboxes.
If you run into any bumps along the way, don't hesitate to reach out to Stamina's support team. They're there to help you succeed!
Happy emailing!
