What to Do if Google Blocks App Access
What to Do if Google Blocks App Access
Updated over a week ago

Hey there!

We know it can be a bit scary when Google blocks our app from connecting to your Gmail account. Don’t worry—it’s just Google’s way of keeping your account safe. Let’s walk through a simple fix together.

1. Check Your Email

Sometimes, Google sends you a message (or even pops up a warning) saying it blocked a sign-in attempt.

  • Tip: Look in your Gmail inbox or even in the spam folder for a note from Google.

2. Unlock Your Account for Stamina.io

If you see that message, you can quickly tell Google that it’s okay for Stamina.io to access your account. Here’s how:

  1. Visit this link: Google Unlock Page

  2. Follow the steps:
Just click the button on that page to let Google know you’re giving the green light.

3. Using Two-Step Verification? (App Passwords)

If you have two-step verification turned on (a great way to keep your account extra secure!), you might need to set up an app-specific password for Stamina.io.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to your Google Account’s Security settings.

  2. Find the App Passwords section.

  3. Follow the instructions to create a password just for Stamina.io.

  4. Enter this new password in your Stamina.io account settings.

4. Try It Again

Now that you’ve unlocked your account (and set up an app password if needed), go back to Stamina.io and try connecting your Gmail account again. Everything should work just fine!
